Top Homeschool Articles about Math

The following articles are the most talked about around the subject of homeschool math within the last month.

Kris Bales of Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers is a blogger I have followed for years. She consistently produces high quality content just by telling it like it is. I love this article on ways to approach Homeschool Math without the textbook and worksheets. I hope you enjoy her suggestions also.

6 Ways to do Math without a Math Book

For those of you who fear homeschooling high school, I would encourage you to reconsider. I have started with my oldest son this year. He has such a maturity now when it comes to his schoolwork. He doesn't complain about it being boring. The team at Hip Homeschool Moms have come out with a wonderful article on how you do not have to teach Homeschool Highschool Math. Take a read and let me know what you think of this. Does it sound more doable. I am also a part of their wonderful community on Facebook, Hip Homeschool Moms Community.

Cait from My Little Poppies is new to me, but I'm so glad I found her. I love her approach on incorporating Math into everything we do. She also states we need to be aware of how we address Math and the language we use surrounding it, no negativity mommas. Let's raise confident kids! Check out the article for so many great ideas.

I was first introduced to Heather Woodie's blog, Blog, She Wrote, when I followed along on a homeschool linkup called Finishing Strong- Homeschooling the Middle & High School Years.
Her article on Homeschool Math Journalling is something I've been interested in for years and even implemented for a year, the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish I hadn't let it go. Read this article and come away inspired to use an unconventional method for homeschooling Math.
